FOLKSTON - Harold Calvin Crews, 82, of Folkston, died Sunday (28 January 2007) at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was a native and life-long resident of Charlton County. He was a member of Homeland United Methodist Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 130.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madria Mizell Crews.

He is survived by his children, Pat Jones (Sam), of , Hal Crews (Nancy), of , and Don Crews (Jeanne), of ; a sister, Hazel Smith (Marvin), of ; a brother, Carlos Crews (Melba), of ; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren

The family will receive friends Wednesday at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral will be held Thursday at Homeland United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Alice Chancey and the Rev. Marvin Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery, , Burke County, Georgia,United States.
