The first deposit relates to Georgia's participation in the Texas Revolution. There is general soldier information, rosters, maps, flags, and photographs, plus specific information on James W. Fannin and William A. Ward. The Charles Cole Hind and Aetna Insurance material concerns Georgia and Alabama. Mrs. Hind, as the insurance representative, made pre-Civil War building insurance surveys in the two states; xeroxes of the surveys are in this collection. There is also a copy of the book of instruction for agents & a bound copy of The 100 Years of Fire Insurance..., the history of Aetna from 1819-1919.
