John Luther Warren was born in 1817 in Emanuel County, to Josiah and Mary Ann (Lewis) Warren in Emanuel County , Georgia , died February 03, 1878 in Ware County and was buried in Thomas Cemetery. John married 1st, Wealtha B. Woodard, born 1825, daughter of Mills Woodard; she was born in September 13, 1821 in Emanuel County, an died February 25, 1873, in Ware County . John married 2nd Drusilla Hickox, August 18, 1876, daughter of David Hickox. She was born 1832.

Children of John and Wealtha Warren were:

  1. Mary Ann Warren, born February 11, 1842; died March 07, 1872. married Needham Bathaway Ham, *CSA*. He was born January 07, 1845 in Burke County and died February 1924 in Atlanta , GA. buried in Hebron Cemetery , Garfield , Ga. Mary Ann is buried in Thomas Cemetery .
  2. William Warren, born, October 13, 1843 married Mary, (Mrs. William Warren) born about 1845.
  3. James Irwin Warren, born, November 05, 1845, married Susan Martin, February 19, 1866.
  4. Vicy Warren, born, September 12, 1848, died December 02, 1888, married William Guy Thomas, January 04, 1872, son of Banner Thomas, Jr. and Lovie (Denmark) Thomas; born, February 12, 1852 and died July 30, 1896. They are buried in Thomas Cemetery in Brantley County .
  5. Josiah Mills Warren, born, May 08, 1850, married Mary M. Dowling, daughter of Lazarus and Mary Ann (Guy) Dowling, born 1857.
  6. John Vandy A. Warren, born February 07, 1852, died April 13, 1931, married Matilda Elizabeth Thomas, November 28. 1875, daughter of Banner, Jr., and Lovie (Denmark) Thomas, born August 15, 1855, died November 14, 1892 in Pierce County. They are buried in Thomas Cemetery .
  7. Amos Caswell Warren, born February 23, 1854, died September 03, 1915, married 1st Civility “Sibbie” Harris, daughter of Jimpsey and Civility (Robinson). Harris. She was born April 21, 1871, died April 02, 1936 in Charlton County; married 2nd Marzilla Thomas January 21, 1875, daughter of Edmund and Martha (Dowling) Thomas. She was born April 18, 1855 , died December 02, 1896 . All are buried in New Hope Cemetery .
  8. Nicholas Warren, born, January 06, 1856, died December 18 1881 .
  9. Elizabeth Warren, born November 02, 1857, married Lazarus “Lay” Dowling, Jr., January 13, 1878 , son of Lazarus and Mary Ann (Guy) Dowling, he was born in 1959, they are buried inThomas Cemetery .
  10. Wealthy Ann Marintha Warren, born January 31, 1860 , died July 17, 1936 , married Calvin Lazarus Thomas, son of Lewis Jackson and Mary Ann ( Redding ) Thomas. He was born March 02, 1854 , died April 03, 1917 . They are buried in Thomas Cemetery .
  11. George Patterson Warren, born January 31, 1860, died January 08, 1928,married Mary Alice Griffin, March 07, 1898 (marriage date is probably 1888), daughter of James and Georgia (Jones) Griffin; she was born March 11, 1862, and died July 01, 1931. They are buried in Mars Hill Cemetery, Brantley County .
